General Information:

St Petersburg, Florida the number one arts destination for mid-sized cities, is hosting ArtScape 2011, a juried fine art exhibition,  in the downtown central business district, home to the world renowned Salvador Dali Museum, The Chihuly Collection and the Museum of Fine Arts as well as numerous galleries, boutiques, and restaurants. 

The exhibition is scheduled for peak tourist season, the weekend prior to Thanksgiving, when the Women’s Half Marathon, Florida Craftsmen’s 14th annual CraftArt exhibition as well as Chillounge Night is in town generating significant tourists, visitors, and residential traffic.

In conjunction with Florida Craftsmen’s 2011 CraftArt presenting 130 fine craft artists, the total combined exhibition will include between 250 and 300 artists covering over 5 city blocks in the downtown business district.

Requirements

4 shots of current work, (work completed within the past 3 years), a booth shot is required

Jury Fee, (non-refundable application fee $30.00)

Media Categories:

Digital Art  --  Original work for which the original image or the manipulation of source material is executed by the artist using a computer.  Work in this category must be limited editions, signed and numbered on archival quality materials. 

Drawing --  Works created using dry media such as chalk, pastel, conte, pencil, charcoal and wax crayon, or from fluid medium such as inks and washes applied by pen or brush.

Fine Photography – Limited edition prints (250 maximum) made from the artist’s original image (film or digital) which have been processed by the artist or under the artist’s supervision.  Images manipulated by photo manipulation software such as Photoshop are to be entered in this category. 

Mixed Media --  Work that incorporates more than one physical material.  Includes non-sculptural work. 

Painting – Watercolor, Oil, Acrylic, Gouache and other painting mediums.

Print Making – Original hand pulled prints signed and numbered by the exhibiting artist. 

Sculpture:  3 dimensional work hand produced by the artist from wood, stone, clay, or other acceptable material.  Loss wax technique from a mold is permitted as long as the original sculpture was produced by the exhibiting artist and the mold was produced under the artist’s direction.  3D assemblages from metal, wood, stone, glass and other materials are to be entered in this category. 

No Crafts, No Jewelry. 

Jury Details:

The show is limited to 150 fine artists selected by Monica Ramirez-Montagut, Curator, Aldrich Museum of Contemporary Art, Ridgefield, Connecticut. Once admitted to the exhibition, the artist’s work will be judged by a highly qualified, experienced panel of gallery owners and museum directors to determine awards. 

Exhibitor Standards and Attendance:

All work must be of original design and produced by the exhibitor who must be present to meet potential collectors and buyers for all hours of the exhibition.  Artists may only show work in the category for which they applied.  Representatives may not attend in lieu of Artist.  

The work exhibited and booth must match the quality and style of the work as represented in the submitted digital images.  All work must be for sale.  All exhibitors must have a valid Florida Sales Tax License, collect Florida sales tax on work sold and remit the sales tax to the appropriate Florida State Governmental Entity. 

Picture ID must be presented at registration. 

All jpegs submitted along with the application may be used for promotional purposes by EventsStPete.Org Inc.

Booth Spaces: 

Booth Spaces are 10’ x 10’ and limited doubles may be available on a first come basis.  Sixteen corner booths are available.  A limited number of corner booths may be combined into doubles. Displays must be professional and aesthetically pleasing, resembling gallery spaces.  White tents are preferable.  Handwritten signs and for sale signs are prohibited.  Exhibitors must leave their booth spaces clean and free of debris upon breakdown of the exhibition.  No sharing of booths is permitted.

Double Booth $550.00
Corner Booth   $375.00
Double Corner Booth $750.00

Booth Fees must be paid in full no later than 30 days prior to the exhibition. October 18th, 2011.

Set Up:  Friday -- 3pm to 7pm
Exhibition Saturday -- 10am to 5pm
Exhibition Sunday -- 10am to 5pm
Break Down Sunday – 5:01pm
Security: Overnight and Daytime

Important Dates:

Artists Notified:  October 7th
Confirmation and Reservation Payment Due no later than October 14th
Waitlisted Artists Invited:  October 15th

Cancellation Policy:

There are no refunds for cancellations due to inclement weather.  Exhibition goes on rain or shine.  It is in the sole discretion of the show manager to close the show due to inclement weather.  Booth refunds may be applied to another exhibition.  There are no refunds after October 14th
